ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Driveway Kids is a Multi-Media Praise and Worship Service just for kids. We offer an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for K-6th Grade Students to learn and grow in their faith.
The Curriculum we use is built around 3 Basic Truths:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
We also focus on a core virtue each month. Why virtues? That’s because they display God’s character. And when we live them out, not only do we understand His heart more, so do the people around us.

Who: Kindergarten- 6th Grade Students
Children may be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the service beginning. Volunteers and Staff will be available to direct you.

Children are dismissed from the worship service in the Sanctuary and in the Highway Worship Center. Pick-up in FLC Room 105.

WHAT'S GOING ON
Sunday, August 10 at all morning services
As a new school year begins, we invite your family to be part of a special morning designed to encourage and celebrate your children. All K–6th grade kids are invited to bring their backpacks to worship for a Blessing of the Backpacks—a meaningful moment to pray over them and the year ahead.
This day also marks Promotion Sunday, when children move up to their next grade level in our children’s ministry programs. Here’s where to meet, based on the service you attend:
- 8:15 & 11:15am Traditional Services – Meet in the Narthex
- 9:45am Contemporary Service – Meet in the Memorial Garden
- 11:15am Contemporary Service – Meet in the Highway Lobby
Children ages 0 through Pre-K5 (in our Driveway Junior classes) will promote in their regular Sunday School rooms and enjoy a sweet lesson and fun craft to mark the milestone.
3rd Grade Bible Ceremony
Wednesday, August 13 at 6:30 PM in the Main Sanctuary
Join us as we celebrate our rising 3rd graders by presenting them with their very own Bible during a heartfelt ceremony in the Main Sanctuary.
Whether this is your child’s first time in church or you’ve been part of our community for years, we’d love to share this milestone with your family.

Acolyte Appreciation
Sunday, August 17 | During the 8:15 & 11:15am Traditional Services
On August 18, we’ll take time during both the 8:30 and 11:00am services to recognize and celebrate the service of our acolytes from the 2024/2025 school year.
If your child served as an acolyte this past year, we’d love to honor them.

If you have a child entering grades 3rd-6th who is interested in serving as an Acolyte at one of our traditional services, please attend this training.
Refuel
Kindergarten- 6th grade | Come join us for a night of fun, refueling on God’s word through, crafts, games, snacks and lots of laughs. No registration required. For more information please contact Mandy Lowery at mlowery@sttimothyns.org.

Praise Team Rehearsals
Children in grades K-6 are encouraged to join in the fun of leading worship in the Driveway at 9:45am. Practice is at 9am in rooms 103-104. Donuts are provided. Contact Chelsea Robinson at crobinson@sttimothyns.org for more information.
Acolytes
Children in grades 3-6 are encouraged to serve through our acolyte program on rotating Sunday mornings at the 8:15 and 11:15m services. Please contact our Acolyte Coordinator, Katie Klumpp, at kbklumpp@gmail.com for more information.
