For Pastoral Care and Support
is our life crisis ministry to those who are experiencing crisis due to hospitalization, retirement, financial setbacks, the loss of a loved one or other difficulties faced in life. In preparation, Stephen Ministers have received 50 hours of training in areas such as dealing with feelings, crisis intervention, self-assertion and other topics. We will meet every other Thursday beginning September 4, at 1:45-3pm in rooms 103-104. We will again host “Surviving the Holidays” program on Thursday, October 30, from 12-2pm. This special 2-hour event is designed to help you navigate the complex emotions that often occur during the holiday season while grieving. Join us for a supportive gathering with refreshments as we share helpful insights and coping strategies. This is open to anyone who is grieving. Inspiration for RLM came from a church member as her brother, Ronnie, faced his journey through cancer. Anyone may add the name of one in need, write letters of encouragement or pray.
