- Giants fall (Goliath & his brothers)
- A shepherd rises (David)
- And the Lion of Judah is moving (Jesus)
“Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.” So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.” 1 Samuel 16:12-13
The Jesus Prophecies
8 Session study led by Pastor Jimmy starting June 4th on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm in person (Main Sanctuary) or on Livestream
All from prophecies in the Old Testament – Messiah would be:
- From Bethlehem and born of a virgin
- A “Son of David” and the Lord
- A Suffering Servant
- Betrayed for 30 pieces of silver
- Pierced, lifted up and resurrected
More in the Old Testament:
- The Words spoken on the cross
- The New Covenant and the 2nd Coming
This is how Jesus explained everything about Himself using only the Old Testament.
“‘How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” – Jesus (Luke 24:25–27 NIV)
Jesus: The Jewish Messiah…and Savior of the World.
