Pastor Steve Kang
Pastor Steve Kang is a revivalist preacher, church planter, and disciple-maker with over 20 years of ministry experience, serving the next generation and advancing the Gospel locally and globally.
Once a former Buddhist, Pastor Steve encountered Jesus Christ in a life-altering way after nearly losing his life to a drug overdose at the age of 19. In 1998, the Lord saved him dramatically, giving him a profound vision of heaven and hell that led to his conversion and lifelong calling to bring the lost back home to Christ. He was baptized at Grace Ministries International in Fullerton, California in 2000.
Pastor Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology, where he graduated in 2008. He has faithfully served as both a full-time and bivocational pastor for over two decades and is sent out by the SEND Network (Southern Baptist Convention) to plant churches.
He is the founder of Revive The Nations, a church-planting and evangelism movement dedicated to equipping churches to pray, win souls, make disciples, and raise up ministers who walk in the power of God and His Word. Revive The Nations is currently planting churches in the United States, beginning in Orange County and Los Angeles, California.
Pastor Steve has also served on the mission field in China and as a Chaplain (1st Lieutenant) in the United States Army. In addition to his ministry work, he consults with Kingdom-minded business owners and serves as an Associate Pastor at Irvine Onnuri Church in Irvine, California.
He is married to Goeun Kim, a professional pianist who serves faithfully in church worship and missions, including ministry in Haiti. They currently reside in Orange County, California.
